The New London Whalers improved to 9-0 with a 34-6 win over the Lancers from Waterford.
The game started out slow as the first quarter ended 0-0. In the second quarter Whalers opened up the scoring by tallying two touchdowns at the hands of senior Melquann Gomez. The first he ran in a TD on the QB keeper, and the second he threw to Giovanni Lopez, who made several defenders miss on his way to a 35 touchdown reception as New London lead at the half 13-0.
Whalers fell into a groove in the second half as they extended the lead and never looked back. New London looks to end the regular season at 10-0 as they face Norwich Free Academy on Thanksgiving.
