Two pedestrians struck by hit and run driver in Stamford: Police

STAMFORD — Two pedestrians were injured, one seriously, in a hit and run accident Saturday evening according to police.

Police were called out at 6:58 p.m. to Tresser Boulevard, Rt. 1, near Greenwich Avenue in Stamford.

Police said two people were struck and grey work van that hit them fled the scene, leaving several pieces behind which investigators believe might lead them to the driver.

The pedestrians were taken to Stamford Hospital; one with serious injuries and the other with minor injuries.
