HARTFORD - When you think of Thanksgiving in Connecticut, the Manchester Road Race in downtown Manchester probably comes to mind.
Last year, the winners were Will Geoghegan, whofinished in just about 21:33. For the women, Olympian and defending champion Diane Nukuri of Burundi had no one around her as she crossed the finish line at 24:20. Geoghegan is a Nike runner from Eugene, Oregon.
Online registration for the road race is still open until Tuesday at noon, and this year, no unattended bags will be allowed inside the "race loop." Instructions will be emailed to all registered runners.
The new location for the blood drive is Manchester High School.
