FARMINGTON – Farmington Police said they arrested a robbery suspect after he crashed his car in New Britain.

Police said at around 9:15 a.m., the Subway restaurant at 1426 Farmington Avenue was robbed. A weapon was not shown, but was implied, according to police.

Police said that just after that, there was an attempted robbery at Dunkin Donuts at 1015 Farmington Avenue by the same suspect, Kevin Colon, 27, of New Britain.

Police said they found a green Honda leaving the Dunkin Donuts Parking lot and attempted to stop it on Farmington Avenue. Police said the suspect took off and officers chased him through Farmington and Plainville and into New Britain, where he crashed on Slater Road. Police said he was taken into custody without further incident.

Police said another car was hit during the chase in New Britain and one person was treated on scene for minor injuries. The suspect and officers were not injured in the incident.
