NEW MILFORD – Authorities said a woman died in a fire at her home on Carriage Drive in New Milford.
Police said the flames were spotted by a neighbor shortly after noon on Tuesday. Officers identified the victim as 52-year-old Valerie Miller.
Police said the woman was home alone at the time. Further details weren’t immediately available.
Police believe the fire was accidental. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Connecticut State Police State Fire Marshall’s office.
