WEST NYACK, NY -- A trip to the mall usually isn't an out of this world experience but at the Palisades Center in West Nyack, New York, one venue aims to provide just that.

The company known as 5-Wits, known for creating immersive and interactive adventures, has created "Deep Space." It's designed to take the escape room experience to another dimension.

"It's an outer-space themed adventure where you have to figure out what happened to the captain and the crew of an abandoned space ship," said Asia Seibert, Operations Manager at 5- Wits.

Full of mind benders and challenges around every turn, Deep Space adds plenty of special effects that require groups to work together to foil the plot of the evil artificial intelligence that works to doom the mission.

After blowing away an asteroid in a challenge aboard the space ship, David Wintman, from New City, New York said, "It's dynamic, the room plays back. it's not just you in a static environment."

Each adventure plays out differently depending on how well the group can sleuth out the clues provided.

"It's all about following a storyline," Siebert added. "And interacting with your environment."

Deep Space is open every day at the Palisades Center in West Nyack, New York. The location also includes two other adventures: Tomb and Drago's Castle. Tickets are $23 and group rates are available. Click here for more information.
