BRANFORD — FOX 61 Anchor Audrey Kuchen is expecting a baby girl later this month. This weekend she took part in an incredible and cathartic photo shoot.
“Inspired by another Connecticut mom’s brave and celebratory rainbow photo shoot, my husband Andy, my best friend Kiersten, and photographer extraordinaire Rebekah Butler helped me pull off this one this past weekend,” Audrey wrote on Facebook.
“Both Johnny and our little girl on the way are rainbow babies, babies after loss,” Audrey explained. “It’s a term to remind us of the hope after a storm.”
“Love and respect for all the parents out there,” she continued. “It isn’t always easy, but the journey is quite beautiful. To love, hope, and faith.”
When Audrey shared the video with our viewers on television, she said, "For us, this was just such a healing way to acknowledge the heartache, but also celebrate life after loss."
She added, "I share it because I know there are so many parents out there going through a similar struggle, and I want them to know they are absolutely not alone."
