HAMDEN -- The Quinnipiac Bobcats hosted an in-state match-up with the University of Hartford Hawks in Hamden.
Both teams came into the game with only two wins and sit well under 500 for the year.
Bobcats came out hot from behind the arc hitting six 3-pointers in the first half as they led at the break 52-41.
In the second half the Hawks tried to spark a comeback, but QU would not let it happen. Bobcats finished with five players in double figures as they cruised to a 99-79 victory.
Bobcats are back in action Sunday against Holy Cross and the Hawks get a chance Friday to get back on the winning side against Boston College.
