Naugatuck Police: Woman who has Alzheimer’s found safe after family reported her missing

NAUGATUCK — Police quickly found a woman who has several medical issues and was reported missing Thursday night.

Naugatuck Police said that Shirley Torres, 64, of Naugatuck, went missing on Thursday, and issued a Silver Alert.

Torres has several medical and mental health issues, as well as Alzheimer’s disease, and her family had been worried that she may be lost or confused.

Torres was last seen by her family around 5 p.m., and was reported missing at 9:30 p.m. when her family got worried.

She was reported found safe, and unharmed shortly before midnight.

Torres is a Hispanic woman, about 5 feet tall and 160 pounds with brown hair that is graying and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a puffy black coat and blue stretch pants.
