HARTFORD — State police rescued a driver from a vehicle that caught fire after it crashed Friday.
Shortly after 3 a.m. troopers were called to a rollover crash on I-91 north at exit 29A in Hartford.
A trooper who was working at a nearby highway construction job found the Nissan Altima on its roof and on fire with the operator trapped inside.
Troopers were able to extinguish the fire and remove the driver from the car and transported to Hartford Hospital by EMS for evaluation. The operator did not suffer any serious injuries.
The fire department also responded to the scene. None of the troopers were injured.
