ROCKY HILL  — A major water main break caused traffic problems along  the Silas Deane Highway Saturday afternoon.

The break happened in a 12 inch pipe on Town Line Road which is on the border of Rocky Hill and Wethersfield. The break caused another line to be shut down as well. The fire department reported water three feet deep in one area.

Town Line Road provides access to a shopping center that includes Walmart and Stop and Shop.

Crews from the Metropolitan District Commission were investigating the situation.
