NEW HAVEN -- The Yale Bulldogs hosted the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils in a basketball match-up Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs came into the game riding a 17-game home winning streak, and extended that to 18 with a commanding 90-59 victory.
Yale led from opening tip, starting on a 7-0 run, and never really looked back. Yale was led by sophomore point guard Alex Copeland, who had a game-high 23 points, four assists and two boards. Following close behind was freshman Miye Oni, with 22 points including 7-8 from downtown to go with 7 boards.
The Blue Devils' Austin Nehls chipped in 19 to lead CCSU.
Yale now has a week break for exams before they get back on the hard court on December 22 at Temple University, while CCSU has a chance to stop a four-game skid against UMass Lowell on the 18th.
