NEW HAVEN – A teen is suffering from injures after getting shot in one of three separate shootings in New Haven.
Around 6:40 p.m. police responded to the corner of Bassett and Newhall streets for reports of a shooting. Police found an 18-year-old man with several gunshot wounds. He was hospitalized with critical injuries, but was listed in stable condition the next day. He has been identified as Malik Daniels.
Earlier in the day there were two other shootings in the city.
Police arrived at the scene just after 5 a.m. Wednesday and found 30-year-old Kean Jenkins with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital in unknown condition.
Police said they responded to another location around 4 p.m. and found 18-year-old Derrick Smith with a gunshot wound to the arm. He was hospitalized for treatment.
It’s unclear if any suspects have been identified.
