CLINTON -- Isaac Adler, who suffers from a life-threatening blood disorder, just got his wish.
The 12-year-old aspiring architect becomes a teenager on Christmas Eve, and his wish matches his dream: he wanted a "man cave." So Make-a-Wish made it happen.
"Super thankful on a scale from one to 10, I'm 11," Issac said.
He said he wants to spend more time with his family, and a man cave would be a great place to hang out with them.
"I'm just really happy right now," Isaac added.
The volunteer crews didn't just build Isaac the perfect hang out in his Clinton home -- they also helped him learn what a job in designing structures would be like.
Jeff Wolcheski, who helped build the man cave said, "It's awesome, it's great to give back and it's nice to have someone to give back a set of skills too."
Isaac's mother, Meredith Adler, said the room will also serve as a great place to recuperate after doctor visits.
"He has treatment every other month that he does, and I think this is going to be a great place to recuperate after," Adler said, adding that her son was able to learn a lot while the volunteers workers were at their house for about four months.
"Isaac's birthday is Christmas Eve, and this is the best birthday present," Adler said.
