HARTFORD — Crews in Hartford worked to repair a broken water main Thursday morning.
The MDC confirmed an 8 inch water main break near 330 Market Street. The main was installed in 1964 and shut down at 3 a.m.
Two businesses, the Community Renewal Team (CRT) and Goodyear Auto Service Center were affected by the shutdown, officials said. Repairs took several hours to be complete.
MDC originally said the issue could be fixed around 7 a.m. but then had to replace a 40-foot section of the pipe. Repairs were completed around 11:15 a.m.
