HARTFORD — As the heroin epidemic continues to plague all corners of Connecticut, local police departments are stepping up their efforts to catch the people putting the drugs on the streets. To that end, Hartford police had quite a bit of success on Thursday.

Hartford Police have been investigating numerous fentanyl-laced heroin overdose deaths over the past few months. Several suspects were identified for knowingly selling fentanyl as heroin with specific “KD” and “dance” stamp logos. Those stamps have been linked to several deaths.

Around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday Hartford detectives from the Vice & Narcotics Unit, along with FBI agents, conducted a search warrant at an address on Franklin Avenue. They seized heroin, PCP and money.

Three people were arrested.

The investigation into the overdose deaths is ongoing.
