Suspect arrested in Danbury fatal hit and run

DANBURY — State police arrested a man in connection with a fatal hit and run accident Thursday.

Roger Leblanc, 43, of Torrington, was charged with manslaughter, operating while under the influence and evading an accident with serious injury.

Police said they responded to the scene of an accident at Exit 7 on I-84 Eastbound where a vehicle where a pedestrian had died after being struck. Susan Blaney, 53, of Brewster, NY, died in the accident. Witnesses said a white Chevrolet Silverado  pick-up had fled the scene. Police located the pickup minutes later in a nearby parking lot with Leblanc inside.

Leblanc was being held on $500,000 bond and scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
