HARTFORD — Hospitals around the state welcomed new bundles of joy on the first day of 2017.
At the Pregnancy and Birth Center at Middlesex Hospital, the first little one arrived right on time, at 12:01 a.m.
In Hartford at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, parent’s Yan Zhuang and Xiaochen Li of Vernon welcomed their second child Lucas Li into the world at 5:18 a.m. He weighs 6lbs and 9oz. The Li’s emigrated from China four years ago.
Over at Hartford Hospital, Angela and Michael Burns from Southington celebrated their one year anniversary on 12/31/2106, and their first baby on 1/1/2017. Gia Burns was born at 12:29 a.m. weighing 7lbs 14 oz.
And at Bridgeport Hospital, Caressa Jones celebrated the birth of her second child. Arianna Lassus was born at 5:39 a.m. weighing 7lbs, 3oz.
