Shelton garbage truck fire knocked down on Oliver Terrace

SHELTON — A garbage truck fire was quickly put out on Tuesday night in Shelton.

The Shelton Fire Department said the fire broke out at around 6:45 p.m.

They said companies 1 and 4 responded to Oliver Terrace for a reports of a truck fire, and Engine 2 also arrived to find a well-involved garbage truck fire.

The crew went to work knocking the fire down quickly, according to the fire department.

Squad 1 arrived shortly after to assist and crews remained on scene a short while after, according to the department.
