HARTFORD — Three men were arrested after a Department of Transportation employee monitoring traffic cameras Wednesday afternoon notified State Police that he saw people spray painting bridge abutments and walls near 1-91.

State police arrested Stanly Veras, 20,  Matthew David Rubin, 19, and Christopher Aracena, 20, all of Hartford, on criminal mischief charges.

Police said the DOT employee noticed three men spray painting walls and bridge abutments near the train tracks near I-91 North in the area of Exit 32 A and B. Police were able to locate the suspects using the cameras and guide troopers to the location.

The men were released on $2,500 bond and area scheduled to appear in court on February 6.
