MADISON — A woman has died after she was struck by a car in a parking lot in Madison Thursday afternoon.
Around 2:45 p.m, emergency crews were called to the Madison Stop & Shop parking lot for an elderly female who was hit by a car. Police said she was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Friday, police said the woman died as a result of her injuries.
Police identified the victim as Marjorie Ehrenfreund, 84, of Madison.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. The accident is currently being investigated by the South Central Regional Traffic Unit and members of the Madison Police Department.
