NEWINGTON — Police have made an arrest of a man in connection with a crash that caused the death of a woman in October, 2016.
Theresa Castagna, 76, of Newington,died from her injuries at Hartford Hospital after the crash on October 19, 2016. Police were called to Webster Court around 2:30 p.m. for a two car head on crash.
Jake Ciccaglione, 25 of Rocky Hill, was charged with manslaughter 2nd degree, manslaughter 2nd degree with a motor vehicle, driving under the influence, and failure to maintain lane. Ciccaglione was released on a $100,000 bond and is expected to appear in New Britain Superior Court on January 27.
Authorities said Ciccaglione was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana at the time.
