GREENWICH — A Port Chester, New York man died Monday evening at Greenwich Hospital after being struck by a car.
Greenwich Police said the accident happened on West Putnam Avenue around 6:30 p.m. near Western Junior Highway when he was struck by a car and he suffered serious injuries. Police said he was in his eighties.
Officers say the driver of the car immediately stopped and provided aid to the pedestrian along with a witness to the incident.
Police say the accident is still under investigation and the pedestrian’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
