WALLINGFORD — A woman was killed Monday morning after she was hit by a car in Wallingford.
Police said Mary Stabile, 65, was hit by a Honda Accord headed east just after 6:30 a.m. Due to the head injuries she sustained, she was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
Police said the driver of the car stayed on scene and that sun glare was a factor in the fatal accident.
Part of Quinnipiac Street near North Cherry St. and the train station was closed for the crash but has since reopened.
