DANBURY — Police have confirmed that one person has died following a car accident in Danbury Friday night.
Danbury police said the accident occurred at 10:43 p.m. on 84 Westbound near exit 4. The road was closed for a good portion of the night, finally reopening around 3:38 a.m.
Police say that Marcos Chillogalli, 40, of Danbury, was driving eastbound on I-84. Driving westbound, was Julio Mafort. Chillogalli struck Mafort in the front of the car. Mafort was taken to Danbury Hospital for serious injuries, while Chillogalli was killed by the crash.
