HEBRON — Police said a Manchester cruiser was struck by a stolen car operated by a teenager, slightly injuring an officer, then fled the scene Tuesday evening.
Manchester police said an officer was investigating an incident involving a stolen vehicle along with the resident state trooper for Hebron. The officers were there to take a juvenile into custody.
Police said the suspect’s car, a black 2001 Mercedes-Benz E320 with the plate AH98067 stolen out of Manchester, showed up. Police said the Manchester officer attempted to box the suspect’s vehicle in and the suspect drove into the officer’s cruiser before taking off. It was last seen heading northbound on East Street. The Manchester officer, who was in uniform standing by an unmarked vehicle was slightly injured.
The Mercedes was last seen heading at a high rate of speed heading onto I-384 West.
Police are on the lookout for a 2001 Mercedes-Benz E320 with the plate AH98067, that had four people in the car at the time.
