WALLINGFORD -- Police say they arrested a woman after she struck two people and a few cars after a concert at the Toyota Oakdale Theater.

Wallingford police said Shelby Coughlin, 24, of Milford, reportedly struck a pedestrian while leaving the Rick Ross concert around 11:30 pm. Another pedestrian was trying to get Coughlin to stop her car, and they were also struck.

Coughlin continued to driver her car. As an officer attempted to get her to stop, she continued to drive, striking 6 vehicles.

Wallingford police say officers were on scene already as part of a security detail working the concert. The officers on the scene were running alongside Coughlin's car and were able to break the car's window and bring it to a stop. Coughlin was removed from the car when she became combative with the officers on scene, and resisting arrest.

When Coughlin was placed in the police cruiser, she bit an officer, causing a minor injury. She continued to lash out inside the cruise to the police department, kicking inside and damaging the rear door and the speed radar unit attached.

Both pedestrians, one officer, and one of the occupants of the car that was struck were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Coughlin faces a list of charges including assault on an officer, assault with a motor vehicle, and a DUI.

She's currently being held on $5,000 and will be in Meriden court on June 30th.
