BRIDGEPORT — I-95 North has reopened this morning, after a tractor-trailer accident Sunday evening.
The accident happened near Exits 27 and 27A shortly after 6 p.m. Police say a driver hit a car and then tried to get into another lane, when it hit another car.
This caused a chain reaction resulting in a total of 5 cars involved. One car even lost control, hitting a concrete barrier and rolling onto its side.
6 people were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries.
The tanker truck involved was carrying antifreeze and DEEP was called in to help clean up.
28-year-old Erin Kelly, who police say was the driver that originally hit another car, was issued an infraction for following too close.
