Police identify the 2 people involved in Route 42 crash

BETHANY –  Connecticut State Police have identified the two people involved in the Route 42 crash in Bethany Friday night.

Police said a car was traveling westbound on Route 42 in Bethany, while a truck was traveling eastbound and both vehicles collided. Police said John A. Kwochka, 43, of Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the other person involved was Amanda Cashmore , 21, of Cheshire who was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for minor injuries.
