Officials: 5 injured after Hartford shuttle bus crash

HARTFORD — Fire officials say five people were taken to the hospital following a collision involving a shuttle bus in Hartford.

Capt. Raul Ortiz tells said the bus hit another vehicle just before 9:30 a.m. Saturday near the area of Brookfield Street and Flatbush Avenue. A third car was rear-ended as a result of the crash.

Three people were extricated from the vehicles and five people were taken to the hospital for various injuries.

Capt. Ortiz says the injuries were “significant” but the extent of the victims’ conditions weren’t immediately known.
