Police said they found Ronald Sweet, 33 of Enfield, around 6 a.m. on Pearl Street.

Police are investigating the cause of the death. But officials said they found heroin near Sweet's body.

Jordan Meyer just moved in to a home  feet  away from the crime scene, and  his first guest was a detective. "They were like did you hear anything weird last night and i looked outside and i saw the black tarps.

Neighbors say the death is unusual for  their  side of the bridge, pointing to higher crime on the other side.

Kimberly Franceschi said"I was woken up about 8:30 by detectives banging on my door. It's usually quiet on this end. I mean, across the bridge, yeah there's a lot that you hear going on with the overdoses and heroin addicts, all that stuff right now."

Police Chief Carl Sferrazza said,  "We believe whatever this is, it's an isolated incident. It's not like somebody going door-to-door, random things going on like that."

State Police Major Crimes Unit are assisting Enfield police the investigation. Police said there is no signs of trauma.
