VERNON -- Vernon police said situation regarding armed, barricaded man inside building has been peacefully resolved.
The man was who was taken into custody has not been charged in the incident. Police said he was taken by Vernon ambulance to Manchester Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
Police said he was a man in his 30s.
Vernon police said they peacefully resolved an incident with the man who was barricaded inside a building Tuesday evening. The standoff took place in a building on the 200 block on Talcottville Road. Police closed Route 83 as the SWAT team was on scene. Several nearby businesses were also evacuated.
