FARMINGTON — Police said that a part of Route 6 is now reopened,  several hours after a serious accident.

Just before 7 a.m., police said a multi-car crash happened on Route 6, west of Waterside Drive. Initial reports say that a three cars were involved and there was a one serious injury who was taken to an area hospital.

Four other people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police said the road was closed between Fienemann and Scott Swamp roads for several hours while they investigated the crash.
