Rollover crash caused large amounts of power outages in West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD – There were several power outages from a rollover crash Wednesday night, according to officials.

West Haven Fire Department said the accident happened on South Main Street and New Britain Avenue. A car hit a light pole, caused it to break in half and fall to the ground, causing the car to flip upside down.

Officials said the driver only suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. They said there up to a dozen outages, some people got their power restored by the end of the night.

The cause of the crash is unknown and the driver has not yet been identified.
