This morning, we salute Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. in Bristol! They offer therapeutic horseback ridging on a 26-acre farm. They provide both mounted and unmounted horsemanship programs as well as a program specifically for veterans! They focus on increasing participants' independence, confidence, and more!

This morning, we're saluting East Coast Lightning Equipment in Winsted! They provide lightning protection systems for schools, homes, airports, and more. The company makes a variety of products from surge protectors to decorative items that can protect you from lightning. They also aim to increase awareness about lightning protection through education programs.

This morning, we salute Lime Rock Park in Salisbury! The racing circuit has been open since 1957. On Saturday, April 6th, it's a free day at the park to watch clubs on the track, and be part of the action with charity laps!

This morning, we salute Storrs Community Church! They were a church started by a group of UConn professors in 1969. At first, meetings were held in homes, rented space from schools in Mansfield, or held in another church. A few years ago, the church community moved into its own building in Coventry!

This morning, we salute Mercy High School in Middletown! They are a private college prep school for young women. They provide students with all sorts of opportunities out of the classroom to students from team sports, robotics, math teams, and a choral group.

The produce was released by Chris Stoyer and his wife last year after using different clamps and brackets for many other years in welding projects. Stoyer isn't new to business. He opened New England Collision way back in 1985!

This morning, we salute American Eagle Financial Credit Union! They were in business since 1935, and has become the largest community credit union in the state with over 135,000 members! This credit union has 17 branches located in central Connecticut.

This morning, we're saluting the Girl Scouts! It's their 70th birthday! The organization started in Georgia, but Connecticut soon followed suit with its first troop in Litchfield county! Girl Scouts of Connecticut does wonderful work! They serve over 26,000 girls from grades K-12 and has more than 13,000 adults in the state helping out making it the largest leadership development program for girls in the state!

This morning, we are saluting the CdLS Foundation! They are a non-profit organization located in Avon, dedicated to the Cornelia de Lange syndrome. This syndrome is a genetic disorder but is usually not inherited. The condition impacts 1 in 10,000 live births and brings a variety of symptoms.

This morning, we salute the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative! They are a state-wide, non-profit organization that provides grants to support education and research to help find a cure for breast cancer! To date, CTBHI has awarded $3.75 million to fund important breast cancer research and education projects in the state. CTBHI also has a big event coming up that everyone can participate int, plus you have some time to prepare! The 215th Annual CT Race in the Park is taking place Mother's Day Weekend, May11. Last year alone, more than $500,000 was raised for breast cancer research!

This morning, we salute The Fearless Angel Project! It was established by Izabela O'Brien in honor of her daughter, Alina, who was diagnosed with pervasive developmental disorder. TFAP awards therapeutic and biomedical scholarships to economically challenged families raising a child on the autism spectrum. All services provided by licensed therapists and physicians in Connecticut.

This morning, we are saluting the Farmington Valley Visiting Nurses Association! They are the only independent, free-standing, non-profit home heath care agency in the Farmington Valley area. They help patients age, and stay in their homes as independently as possible. They provide in-home health care, rehabilitation, hospice care, and more to the Greater Farmington Valley.

This morning, we are saluting Faarken Biker Stirrups in Cheshire! They were established in 2003, and their products are made in the USA. They offer stirrups and bootlickers. Both products work by securing the bottom of your pant leg to your boots or shoes so your pants say secure while riding!

This morning, we salute Special Olympics Connecticut! They provide year-round sports training and competition opportunities for over 12,000 athletes and unified partners. They also offer 26 olympic-type sports and hosts four state games annually, along with qualifiers and competitions throughout the year. Athletes also have opportunities to compete globally.

This morning, we salute The New England Black Wolves! They are a professional lacrosse team in Uncasville and play their home games at Mohegan Sun Arena! They relocated from Philadelphia where they were known as the Philadelphia Wings from 1986 to 2014. They joined the National Lacrosse League for the 2014-2015 season. They didn't make the playoffs that year, but they made it every year since!

They group wants to encourage a world where animals are treated with respect and dignity.

This morning, we salute Chrome N' Steel Veteran Riders Connecticut! Their mission is to help veterans, and communities in need. They have supported several local community charities, donated fuel for veterans, and supported the Children's Miracle Network Hospital among other ventures. They also helped the Putnam Elks Lodge by delivering thanksgiving day meals for those in need. The riders donate 100% of the money they raise.
