BRIDGEPORT -- Almost fifteen people were displaced Saturday morning when a fire broke out at a two-story home.
Firefighters responded to a house on Federal Street on calls of building consumed in flames. Firefighters on the scene said there was heavy fire on the second and third floor.
Due to the severity of the fire, a second and third alarm was called in response. Fire Departments from Milford, Stratford, and Fairfield all responded to the scene.
The fire was so bad that the house next door was also heavily damaged.
Firefighters said that no one was injured in the blaze and the Red Cross assisted 10 adults and 4 children. The house where the fire started was destroyed.
The fire remains under investigation.
