Child struck by a car in East Haven

EAST HAVEN — Police are investigating an incident where a child was struck by a car Sunday evening.

Police said around 5:30 p.m.  a young child was struck by a car near 167 Foxon Boulevard. The child suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital. The vehicle stayed on the scene. No charges have been filed.
