NORWALK  — A  state agency says a bar where more than 100 underage patrons were found one night in April has agreed to close its doors for good.

The Department of Consumer Protection said Monday that the permit will be canceled for Johnny Utah’s in Norwalk.

An inspection on the night of April 19 by liquor control officers found more than 100 underage customers, mainly from Fairfield University. Officers called for assistance from police officers, an ambulance and public safety officers from the university. The bar has been closed since then.

The bar’s ownership also has paid a fine of $20,000 and agreed to reimburse Norwalk for police resources and Fairfield University for the use of a private bus service that took students back to campus.
