NEW HAVEN — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured.
Police responded on calls of what they believe to be a domestic dispute, to the area Winchester Avenue. Police said they found the victim in a hallway.
The victim, in his 30’s, then ended up on the street. Police say he was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital with extremely critical internal injuries. After his treatment though, doctors told police that his wounds were not life-threatening.
Police say the victim may have been targeted and is an isolated incident.
The investigation remains ongoing and detectives are following significant leads.
