NEWINGTON – Police say they are investigating a serious motor vehicle accident that took place on the Berlin Turnpike (Rt 5/15) Friday night. Sources tell FOX61 that the crash involved a pedestrian who suffered life-threatening injuries. The victim’s current condition is unknown.
The crash happened about 10:30 p.m. Friday night, and shut down part of the busy commercial strip for several hours. The road is open again Saturday morning.
No information about the pedestrian or driver has been released yet, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
