The victims stabbed involved a pregnant woman and another man. The suspect is 63-year-old Rafael Hernandez who appeared in court Monday.

Police said on Friday night, they responded to a domestic disturbance near Carroll Street in Naugatuck. When investigators arrived, they found a woman and a man with multiple stab wounds as well as Hernandez.

“He had evidence of being involved in a stabbing he was bleeding on one arm and had a cut that consisted with him holding a knife and possibly stabbing himself by using a knife. She had some serious injuries to her side and abdomen,” said Lt. Bryan Cammarata from the Naugatuck Police Department.

Hernandez is being held on $3 million bond.

Hernandez is expected to be back in court on September 26th for another hearing.
