Bear found roaming in Wolcott backyard

WOLCOTT — Bears are still out and about in Connecticut!

Meg Houlihan in Wolcott spotted this black bear wandering around in her back yard. It seemed to have a taste for bird seed!

Black bears usually go into hibernation around November, according to the North American Black Bear Center. The food is pretty plentiful in New England for these bears!

Eat… or sleep? That is the question.
