STAMFORD -- A baby was found dead at the Stamford Recycling Center Tuesday morning.
Police said an employee of City Carting found baby boy while processing materials around 8:40AM. The baby was a full-term new born.
Medical examiner is conducting autopsy to determine in child was deceased prior to ending up at recycling facility.
The facility is a large scale recycling center. Investigators will be going through log books that say when trucks came and went and where they came from as they accepted materials from other states.
Material is dropped off from companies that operate in Stamford; Greenwich; Somers, NY; Long Island, NY; and Andover, MA.
Police in Andover Massachusetts say they are on "on alert" because of this case.
