HARTFORD — Connecticut’s governor-elect and lieutenant governor-elect are continuing to meet with local elected officials and business executives around the state.

Democrats Ned Lamont and Susan Bysiewicz were scheduled to hold private meetings Tuesday in New Haven and Hartford. They come on the heels of their recent Election Day victory.

In New Haven, they are expected to meet with the mayors of Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Hartford, and Waterbury. All five are Democrats.

The meeting in Hartford is expected to include representatives from insurers Aetna, Cigna, The Hartford and Travelers. Also, they’re meeting with officials from pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim, submarine-builder Electric Boat, Webster Bank and manufacturers United Technologies and Stanley Black & Decker.

Those firms represent 10 of the state’s largest for-profit companies in Connecticut, employing roughly 70,000 people.
