GROTON — State Police say 41-year-old Mayro Estrada, of Providence, Rhode Island, was killed after the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed off I-95 in Groton.
Police say the truck was driving southbound on I-95 in Groton, just before exit 89, when it drove off the left side of the highway. It crashed through a metal beam guard rail, and tumbled down an embankment.
The truck hit an unoccupied hydraulic lift, crossed Cow Hill Road, and came to a final rest at a dirt embankment.
Estrada was killed.
Police say the crash is still under investigation.
