EAST HARTFORD -- New information was released Monday about an East Hartford man who police said was shot and killed.

Police are investigating it as a homicide, but they also believe it was an isolated incident and said there is no danger to the public.

Police said they found 30-year-old Dominic Marino dead from a gunshot wound at 48 Suffolk Drive Sunday evening.

FOX61 pulled up to the home Monday as detectives were still bagging up evidence and interviewing neighbors. Most neighbors didn’t want to speak on camera but said Marino was a good person and they're shocked this happened in their quiet neighborhood.

“I was very very surprised for the neighborhood. Because it’s a good neighborhood, very very quiet,” said neighbor Jorge Laviola.

There’s a foreclosure sign posted in the front yard. Neighbors said it’s been there for just a few weeks. It says the house was scheduled to go up for auction December 1st and lists as M Marino who is believed to be his father, Mark on the sign.

According to public property records, the house hasn’t been sold since 1989. That foreclosure auction sign also gives the name of a lawyer, Attorney Robert Carey out of Avon.

FOX61 reached out to his office and left a message but didn’t hear back by news time.
