TORRINGTON– Route 4 has reopened to traffic after a serious crash Tuesday afternoon.
The 2-vehicle crash was on Goshen Road between Lovers Lane and Klug Hill Road.
At least one person needed to be rescued from one of the cars. Three people were hurt, two with “major injuries,” according to Torrington’s fire chief Peter Towey.
While firefighters were responding to the crash, there was also a report of a natural gas leak in the city. Off-duty Torrington Fire Department personnel responded. There were no hazards at the reported gas leak, the fire chief said.
