WESTPORT — A dog that got loose on I-95 is back with her family thanks to a state police trooper and some good Samaritans.
Connecticut State Police said in a Facebook post that “things got a little ‘hairy'” when the dog named Maggie got loose on Route I-95 in Westport Sunday morning.
Police say Troop G Trooper Mike Grabowski and others who stopped to help rescued the dog after a “brief but terrifying chase on the highway.” Police say the dog is now safe at home with her “human family.”
