WATERTOWN – Police have charged a suspect with murder in the homicide case of  Watertown woman.

Police found Maryann Kibbe-Stanisz, 70, a widow who lived alone, dead inside her home on Jan. 7. Kibbe-Stanisz might have been dead for a day or more, according to investigators. The medical examiner said the cause of death was blunt impact injuries to the head and neck.

Police said William Bayarinas, 48, of no certain address, has been charged with murder. He will appear in court on Tuesday.

He was also charged with home invasion, felony murder, burglary in the first degree and larceny in the third degree.

Police said Bayarinas and another man, Paul Crampton, 49, had used the victim's car during a burglary at a pizza shop. Both were arrested in connection with the burglary last week. Both were arrested on probation violations. Bayarinas has previous convictions for larceny.

The victim’s car was found on the same day as her body was found a the parking lot next to the Lit Ultra Lounge, on W. Main St., in Waterbury, several miles from her home.
