NEW BRITAIN — Officials confirm a man was killed following a fire at an apartment building.
The fire started around 8:25 a.m. at 45 Horace Street. Officials say a person noticed smoke coming from the bottom level of the apartment building.
When firefighters arrived, they found a man who was in the room where the fire started.
The man was pronounced dead, but the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner still needs to determine the cause of death.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
